Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech

Arrival in Marrakech. Spend the day exploring one of Morocco’s four imperial cities, famous for its World Heritage monuments and the iconic Jemaa el Fna. Discover different neighborhoods such as Gueliz, Hivernage, Palmeraie, and Mellah (the Jewish quarter), or get lost in the winding streets of the Medina leading to Jemaa el Fna Square. Experience the vibrant outdoor activities: jugglers, musicians, fakirs, and snake charmers, while soaking in the diverse sounds, aromas, flavors, and colors. Accommodation at a holiday riad.

Day 2: Marrakech – Dades Gorges

After breakfast, we head to Dades Gorges, crossing the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka pass. We pass through numerous Berber villages with spectacular scenery. Visit the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, famous for its role in over twenty films including “Babel.” Continue to Ouarzazate, crossing the valley of roses to reach the Dades Gorges, where the “road of the thousand kasbahs” begins. Dinner and accommodation in a hotel in Dades Valley.

Day 3: Dades Gorges – Todra Gorge – Merzouga

After breakfast at the hotel, we head to Todra Gorge. Enjoy a leisurely stroll through the imposing canyon walls over 200 meters high. Continue to the desert through the Tafilalet palm grove. Check into a hotel at the foot of the dunes, where you can walk on the fine sand of Erg Chebbi, relax, and enjoy the breathtaking scenery. Savor a delicious Moroccan dish for dinner. Overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 4: Merzouga – Erg Chebbi Turn Around – Merzouga

After a hearty Moroccan breakfast, we embark on a 4×4 tour around the Erg Chebbi dunes. Discover how and where nomadic families live, visit wild oases, and see spectacular scenery and small desert towns. Stop in the town of Khamelia, where you’ll enjoy a Gnawa music concert and a delicious tea. Return to the hotel and prepare for a camel ride into the heart of the desert to watch the beautiful sunset. Enjoy a Moroccan dinner, tea, and music under the starry sky, and sleep in nomadic tents.

Day 5: Merzouga – Rissani – Ziz Valley – Middle Atlas – Fes

Wake up early to witness the spectacular sunrise over the Moroccan Sahara dunes. Ride camels back to the hotel for breakfast and a shower, then proceed to Rissani. Explore the traditional souks, famous for crafts, food, and animals. Continue to Erfoud, known for its fossil work, and cross the impressive Ziz Valley with over 18,000 palm trees. Stop for lunch in Midelt and continue to Fez via Ifrane, also known as Moroccan Switzerland. Arrive in Fez and transfer to your hotel.

Day 6: Fes

Spend a free day exploring Fez, another of Morocco’s imperial cities, considered the country’s religious and cultural center. Stroll through its various districts, including Fès el-Jdid (the Jewish Quarter), Ville Nouvelle (the French zone), and Fez-Bali (the old town). Walk through its labyrinthine streets, where potters, smiths, and artisans coexist with tourists. Visit the famous souk tanners to see the traditional process of making colorful leather. Accommodation at a holiday riad.

Day 7: Fez – Marrakech

After breakfast, we head back to Marrakech, crossing the Middle Atlas Mountains and passing through Ifrane, Azrou, Khénifra, and Beni Mellal. Arrive in Marrakech and transfer to your riad. Enjoy free time to continue discovering the city’s hidden corners.

Day 8: Marrakech – Airport

Transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
